Email Marketing in Nepal at a glance
Email gets less attention than social media in Nepal, which is a mistake for B2B firms, ecommerce stores, schools and training institutes. Your email list is yours. No algorithm decides who sees your message, and it costs almost nothing per send.
The trick is relevance and deliverability. Since Gmail and Yahoo tightened rules for bulk senders in 2024, emails without proper authentication often land in spam. We set up the technical side first, then build simple automated flows that send the right message when someone signs up, abandons a cart or goes quiet.
Problems we fix
Landing in spam
No domain authentication, so emails never reach the inbox.
One list for everyone
Same email to customers, leads and staff.
No automation
Every email sent by hand, so it rarely happens.

Is email marketing worth it for Nepali businesses?
For B2B, education, travel, ecommerce and anyone selling abroad, yes. Your email list is the one audience no platform can take away, and automated emails keep working without extra ad spend. For very local consumer businesses, SMS and Messenger often work better.
Email is where repeat business happens. A welcome series for new customers, a reminder before a service is due and a monthly update with genuinely useful content can bring back customers you'd otherwise have to pay to reach again on Facebook.
Which automated emails should you set up first?
A welcome series for new subscribers or customers, an abandoned cart or abandoned enquiry follow-up, a post-purchase thank-you with a review request, and a win-back email for customers who haven't bought in a while.
- Welcome series (3 emails)
- Abandoned cart or enquiry follow-up
- Thank-you and review request
- Win-back after 60–90 days
- Monthly newsletter
Why do emails go to spam, and how do you fix it?
Usually because the sending domain isn't authenticated (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), the list includes old or purchased addresses, or the content looks like spam. We set up authentication, clean the list, warm up new domains and write emails that people want to open.
Gmail and Yahoo now require authentication for bulk senders. If your newsletters suddenly stopped arriving, missing DMARC is the most likely reason, and it takes about an hour to fix.
Which email platform should a Nepali business use?
For most small businesses, Brevo or Mailchimp is enough: both have free tiers, good templates and automation. Larger senders or ecommerce stores may need Klaviyo or a platform connected to their store. The right choice depends on list size, automations and budget, and we'll set up whichever fits.
How do we grow an email list in Nepal?
Collect emails at checkout, bookings and enquiries, offer something useful for signing up (a price guide, a discount, early access), and add a simple form to your website and social profiles.
What open rate is good?
It depends on industry and list quality, and privacy features now inflate open rates. Watch clicks, replies and sales from email as better signals.
